Brave Dungeon is a roguelike shooter, similar to the likes of The Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon.I would call it a twinstick shooter, but it has no controller support (which would be nice).First of all, you can get this game for a dollar.So you can expect it to be lighter on content than it's more expensive counterparts.As you start a new game, you can choose one of three difficulty settings, easy, medium or hard.This only seems to affect the speed of the enemies or the damage they do.In terms of gameplay, you go through random rooms, kill the monsters in the room,dodge the flying arrows, and maybe break a few barrels.Sometimes a shop pops up, giving you a selection of four items to buy.That's it. If you have watched the trailer, you have seen all this game has to offer.You can go through as many rooms as you can survive, but there is no point.The game doesn't keep track of the completed rooms.You have got 4 Enemy sprites (which all have the same speed, hover towards you and damage you on touch)About 3 sound effects (that sound more like an Atari 2600 than NES)2 Characters (You and the shopkeeper)1 Music Track (That loops through the whole game)And 4 Spells (But I can't figure out how to switch them)You can't adjust the small window this gamee launches in, let alone switch to fullscreen. You can't rebind the controls (or even get an overview).Your bard moves like a tank (I think they sped up the trailer)You have to tap repeadetly to shoot.This is not a monetizable game. This is a high school project.In a genre that is populated by so many titles, it's essential your game adds something to the mix. Or at least meet the established standard (controller support and fullscreen, for example).But with a price tag attached to this, I cannot recommend.Sorry.. This is literally the best game I have ever played. It is the definitive roguelike, containing amazingly unique randomized levels, interesting AI, and tough obstacles. The visual design of this game is absolutely stunning, the background greatly compliments the pleasing designs of all of the structures, props, and enemies, of which there are many variants. I am so glad that this game was put onto Steam so I can support the developer for creating this masterpiece. Plus, the game is LITERALLY ENDLESS! You will have days, weeks, months, even years of content on your hands! Buy this game immediately, it is worth every cent!.
